Tinder, founded in 2012 by Sean Rad, Justin Mateen, and Jonathan Badeen, is the world’s biggest dating app.

It revolutionized the dating industry by introducing the swipe, which allows you to (dis)like someone by swiping left or right.

Tinder itself is owned by Match Group, which also operates dating apps like Hinge or OkCupid.

Today, Tinder generates over $1.65 billion in annual revenue, making it the highest-grossing dating app by a wide margin.

But how does Tinder, which can be used at no cost, actually make money?

Tinder offers three premium subscriptions on a monthly or yearly basis called Tinder+, Tinder Gold, and Tinder Platinum.
